Leatrice Eiseman of the Pantone Color Institute, a company that tracks color in the fashion and home décor worlds, has given the nod to turquoise to “transport” us into a tropical, happier outlook in 2010.

Here’s just a few tips that will help you integrate this style-ready color into your ensemble:

• Turquoise Jewelry – bracelets and necklaces go with just about anything, and will add fun to even the darkest color palettes

• Fabric is important – the right one will create a luxe look, but the wrong fabric will end up looking cheap

• Accessorize with a turquoise bag or belt – the accent will make you stand out in a crowd
